Are you fully charged? Chapter 4 review

In chapter 4, Rath wants the audience to find a higher calling than just cash to do the things you do on a daily basis, such as your career. People always refer to money when they talk about goals or life in general. I can not fully blame them because I was once the same in many ways. Growing up in a home that was never financially health really effected me as a child. Being the black sheep of the class because I lacked all the things that's the other children had hurt me as a child. My mother would bounce from job to job without any education background other than high school trying to make more money instead of establishing herself with a company. Rath explains that people go through this same cycle everyday and never find very much happiness. People put money before happiness everyday and are very selfish in the process. Companies are done experiments to understand this more and now a lot know that to get the best results is to do group incentives instead of individual ones....

Are you fully charged? Chapter 3 review

In chapter 3, the writers explain the importance of ensuring a great workplace and from listening to people and from personal experience, I know that having a good place to come and work comfortably is very important. In my short 18 years, I have had many odd jobs. ranging from fast food, retail and industrial. Participating in these jobs have allowed me to work but many different people of all ages from different walks of life but it has shown me the different types of bosses and the way different organizations treat you. One big aspect that people always forget to add is the different of working for global or local organizations and I can tell you now that their is a huge different from the two. Working in the 21 century is very diffic...

Are you fully charged? Chapter 2 review

In Chapter 2, Rath reveal the three points that matters the most for everyone to have a daily health and well being and how we can engage that towards our work. This connected with me because as working many jobs in my short 18 years, I have always ensured that no matter how my day was I would never take it out on a coworker or a customer. The point that Rath is trying to make is that you most ensure better days for not only yourself but also others. Chasing happiness does not get you anywhere but chasing meaning, just bring happiness with it. Happiness is a way of life but people that do not chase it, usually have the most of it.

Are You Fully Charged? First Chapter Review

Chapter one of "Are You Fully Charged?" is really just breaking us into the idea of having a meaningful life. In the last few decades many different colleges, university and social scientist that have studied this topic on many different levels. The author has taken into consideration the research that the different sources have determined and he uses his own personal experiences to come to the conclusion that creating meaning is central not just to his existence but to that of every organization in society today. Creating meaning is an evolutionary process that grows by the day, as opposed to a grand purpose that suddenly falls in your lap. Small wins generate meaningful progress. After all the independent research from all different sources the same conclusion lies, its that the way to having a meaningful life is to increase your  amount of well doings and decrease putting your own well being in front of it. I relate to this chapter in many different ways because after bei...
